Experiments
These are a series of images and videos of experiments I’ve made in the studio. They range in material from glass, found objects, plaster cast, styrofoam packaging etc. I am interested in experimentation as speculation, as reflection, for inquiry and as an interface to converse with others. Some experiments and ideas have failed and finished, others I keep revisiting. I find that continually readjusting and reworking is in fact a state of listening. Repeating and re-watching becomes a form of cognition on a particular thing.
Exploring how things relate to each other in form and space keeps my practice evolving, and is a constant reminder that even our most fundamental perceptions require constant exploration and critical questioning.
